Service Description
We like to make pottery on Saturdays and you can join. Our volunteer pottery instructors will show you the basics and let you get your hands dirty! These sessions are 'Throw to Recycle' which means what you throw is recycled - we give you recycled clay and recycle what you make for the next person. Sessions are available to book 8 hours before they start.

Cancellation Policy
Spots for Saturday pottery open 7am Saturday morning. $10 fee will be charged if you don't show up. Since 2024, Saturdays at the Art Room have been first-come-first-served: people waited in line, wrote their name on a white board, and eventually signed-up on a sheet of paper. This allows people to wander in for a cup of coffee, discover our studio, and jump right in. Now, sign-ups for Saturday lessons are digital but we tried to keep the original feel - here are some things you need to know. Spots for Saturday pottery open 7am Saturday morning. This means you cannot reserve a spot weeks in advance, but you can wake up early and get your name on the list. This also means, anyone in the coffee shop can discover our Saturday pottery lessons and check the website for that day's availability. We are also establishing an Art Room Pottery Studio punch card. Anyone is welcome to come try pottery on our wheels for free - we will give you the clay, but after your session that clay will be recycled for the next person. If you want to create a piece that gets fired and glazed, you can track your sessions on our Art Room Pottery Studio punch card. When you have completed the punch card you are eligible to become a member. If you don't show up for the session or cancel less than 1 hour before the session start time, we will charge you a $10 cancelation fee. We make pottery free because we believe in creation over consumption. If you reserve a spot and don't show up, it takes the opportunity away from someone else. You can cancel your session at theartroomboise.com by going to your profile (Computer: top right of your screen will show your profile photo, Phone: select the menu and profile photo will appear). Select your profile photo, select 'My Bookings', find the session you would like to cancel and select 'Manage', then select 'Cancel'. You will get a confirmation email when your session is canceled.
